Winter's not a pleasant time
It brings us wind and rain
And colds and flu and misery
Oh hear the folk complain!
The Brits I know when faced with snow
All stop and cry defeat
An inch or two is all it takes
To standstill a whole street
Observe the brave Norwegians
We could learn a thing or two
For when we get a bit of chill
We haven't got a clue
I guess by now we all should know
The weather's not our friend
It's obvious we'll never learn
So this I recommend:
A simple plan that we can use
When winter's drawing near
Put on five layers of thermals
And drink our weight in beer!
